The Le Due Valli farm is located in the heart of the Mezzano Valleys in Ostellato in the province of Ferrara. In 2023, we start our collaboration for the Agridelta project, which aims to take a first step toward digitizing the agricultural fields of the Mezzano, the southeastern part of the Po Valley, originally covered by oak forests, which was reclaimed in 1957 making the area suitable for agriculture.
Precise mapping of the land was performed with drones, which follows a pattern constructed taking into account the layout of irrigation canals and the number of different plots included in each image. Thus, an ideal checkerboard was formed to connect the different areas through functional hotspots to move from one landscape to another (jump) and finally to name them in a timely manner. Video pills taken from footage shot during the mapping work carried out in the summer have been included.
In February 2024, the company decided to exhibit the project at the BIOFACH trade fair in Nuremberg, the world’s leading organic food fair, and the project was also adapted to virtual reality to offer a different point of view to the potential customer and bring the area to the fair in a more impactful way. From the images already obtained with drones, three ideal routes were constructed with the inclusion of maps and some of the videos already in the original project. The booth also included an LED wall where the experience was projected through the viewer.
