Palazzo Sansedoni, the headquarters of the Monte dei Paschi Foundation, is located in Siena and overlooks Piazza del Campo.The building is representative of what was once 14th-century Sienese architecture, and over time it has also incorporated the two side palaces into its structure, giving shape to the characteristic curvilinear facade. On display inside the palace is an art collection that brings together important works of Italian painting and sculpture production made from the 14th century until the last century. The goal was to emphasize the collection and the environments in which the collection is located.

So the scanning of the exhibition rooms was done in such a way as to emphasize the works and environments and was aided by the excellent exposure to light of the building’s overlooks, which from the windows offer striking glimpses of the Piazza, details that can also be appreciated by the digital model that offers a high degree of accessibility to details thanks to the 8K footage.
In post production, a navigation menu was created that allows direct access to the rooms and the subdivision of the works into different categories including author, period, and type. The choice was made to include in-depth informational tags and to use the popup as a descriptive element by having HD images available.
Connected to the digital twin of the palace has also been the digital twin of the Torre Bruna, which offers free spaces for possible virtual exhibits and an atmospheric walk over the rooftops of Siena.
