Trieste digital coffee capital

Trieste capitale digitale del caffè

Trieste digital coffee capital

At the heart of the Trieste Coffee Festival, dedicated this year to the Co&phi theme, where physical and digital space meet, the “Trieste Digital Coffee Capital” event represents a step toward the future of the coffee industry. Produced by Freshmedia srls, with the contribution of Digital Districts and Cynexo, companies in the area, participants were involved in an immersive experience between real and virtual, in a format that perfectly embodies the latest trend of the moment: phygital reality.

After opening remarks by Regional Councillor Fabio Scoccimarro and Deputy Mayor Serena Tonel, the speakers were Antonio Paoletti, President of the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce; Alberto Polojac, Creative Director of Trieste Coffee Festival owner of Imperator srl and founder of Bloom Specialty Coffee; Alessandro Martelli, Founder and President of Digital Districts; and Fabrizio Manzino, President and Founder of Cynexo.

In the Sala Maggiore of the Trieste Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the event, the event marked the launch of the first piece of an ambitious project, which aims to transform the city into a digital coffee capital. Guests were taken on an innovative sensory journey, where coffee, the undisputed protagonist, was explored not only through taste and aroma, but also through interactive digital dimensions that enhance the traditional experience.

Phygital reality, which merges the physical and digital worlds, allows the concept of coffee tasting to be expanded, leading visitors to explore new scenarios, interact with real-time digital content, and immerse themselves in personalized sensory narratives. This encounter between advanced technology and coffee tradition celebrates Trieste’s historical richness as a coffee port and propels it into the future, creating an ecosystem in which coffee is no longer just a beverage, but a complete multisensory and cultural experience.

But this event also marks the beginning of an innovative tourism project: an immersive offer for all those who want to experience Trieste through its deep connection with coffee. The initiative aims to be the first step toward the creation of digital tourist routes, interactive coffee-themed experiences that highlight the city’s heritage, combining history and innovation. Trieste, already considered the “City of Coffee,” is preparing to become an international destination for those seeking cutting-edge cultural and sensory experiences.

“Innovation is at the heart of this year’s edition of the Trieste Coffee Festival,” says Alberto Polojac, creator of the Trieste Coffee Festival and owner of Freshmedia srls. “With phygital reality we are building not only an immersive sensory experience, but a real tool that will be able to spread as a tourist offer. This event is just the beginning of a path that will lead visitors to discover the history, culture and future of Trieste as the Capital of Coffee through interactive experiences distributed throughout the city.”
